Step 3: Review your Matches
Step 3: Review your Matches
Review your Matches:
- Matches are presented using a familiar 5-star rating system, where 5 means "excellent" and 1 means "poor". The summary view includes the username and business categories for each match and you can click "View Match" for additional detail on each.
- The "Match Detail View" will present you with a short description of the site you were matched to, their target geography as well as keywords or phrases they've used to describe themselves. Linker also reminds you of the specific search criteria that led to the match to help you compare the match to what you indicated you are looking for.
- Because we respect the privacy of the Linker community members, we do not disclose the email address or the URL for the matched site until a mutual connection is made.
Requesting a Connection:
- If you find the matched site to be a good prospective link partner, click "request a connection" to send the site owner an invitation to connect.
- When the other Linker community member accepts your invitation to connect, you will receive an email with their email address. You can then email your connection to begin discussions on your link building strategy.
- Note that "invitations to connect" expire in 14 days!
Managing Connections:
- Linker keeps a record of all of your connections. You can view these by clicking on the "connected" tab in "My Connections"
Once you have made a connection, remember to email these sites promptly to work out the details of developing a linking strategy that will benefit both of you!
